Monthly limit: Monthly cap means that a maximum set number of paying passes are paid for in a calendar month per vehicle associated with the agreement. For E39 Lønset – Hjelset there is a monthly limit of 60 paying passes per calendar month for vehicles in tariff group 1. Monthly limits require an agreement and a valid chip. The right to a monthly limit is revoked for the current month if the chip issuer changes, this also applies to chip replacement unless the chip replacement is carried out by or in cooperation with the chip issuer.
When replacing a chip, it is necessary to carry out this process in cooperation with the chip issuer. By coordinating the chip replacement with the chip issuer, you ensure that the new chip is correctly associated with the existing agreement and vehicle, and that the monthly limit is met. Furthermore, the chip issuer can provide the necessary guidance and assistance in the chip replacement process. This ensures a smooth transition to the new chip.
Please note that this requires the card issuer to use the "card swap function". Please speak to your card issuer to ensure this is done correctly. You must use the same card issuer for your passes to count towards the monthly limit for the current month. If you plan to change card issuers, we recommend that you do this at the start of each month to maintain the monthly limit as much as possible.
Hourly rule: The hourly rule means that you only pay for one toll pass within a given time interval, even if you pass several tolls within the time interval. In the E39 Lønset – Hjelset project, the hourly rule is set to 60 minutes. The scheme only applies to tariff group 1 with a valid user agreement and payment chip if passes are within 60 minutes.
The following rate groups apply:
• Tariff group 1: Vehicles with a permissible total weight of up to and including 3,500 kg.
• Tariff group 2: Vehicles with a permissible total weight of 3,501 kg or more.
The following discounts apply to vehicles with a valid user agreement and tag:
• 20% chip discount for vehicles in tariff group 1.
• Vehicles in vehicle category M1 with a permissible total weight of over 3,500 kg are rated as rate group 1.
• Hourly rule for vehicles in rate group 1.
• Passage limit of 60 payable passes per calendar month for tariff group 1.
• 30% discount for zero-emission vehicles in tariff group 1.
• 100% discount for zero-emission vehicles in tariff group 2.
Exemptions are granted according to the current tax guidelines at any given time. As of today, the following applies:
• Uniformed and civilian emergency vehicles
• Public transport vehicles on route
• NATO vehicles in exercise*
• Vehicles owned by NATO Headquarters JWC at Jåtta. The exemption can be granted for up to 2 years of
the hallway.
Exemptions may be granted upon application and conditionally valid user agreement with an AutoPASS issuer if
use of a chip. Vehicles that are approved as emergency vehicles in Autosys are exempt from the requirement
about application.
Exemption schemes marked with * shall as a general rule apply after submission of lists from the Armed Forces with
